Company profile

An independent company organised around long horizons.

The company is independent. It is not part of a banking group and does not distribute third-party products. Independence determines how the company is organised and how work is documented.

Activity is concentrated on three related fields: discretionary and advisory portfolio management, structural wealth planning, and family office administration. The three fields share one record base and one reporting standard.

Clients are private individuals, families, foundations and corporate treasuries. Mandate structures vary. Reporting does not.

  • Independent ownership, no product distribution mandate
  • Single office, Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate
  • Written documentation for every mandate decision
  • Segregated custody at third-party depositary banks
  • Cross-border coordination within the European Union
Areas of activity

Three fields of work, described for information.

The descriptions below are summaries. They are not offers, recommendations or solicitations. A detailed listing is set out on the focus areas page.

Portfolio management

Construction and administration of securities portfolios under a written mandate. Allocation, risk limits and rebalancing rules are fixed in advance and reviewed on a fixed calendar.

Wealth structuring

Analysis of asset ownership across accounts, entities and jurisdictions. Documentation of holdings, liabilities, liquidity requirements and succession arrangements.

Family office

Consolidated administration for families and foundations. Coordination of depositary banks, auditors, tax advisers and notaries within a single reporting cycle.

Printed financial reports and charts on a table
Reporting documentation, reference image.
Working method

Documented, repeatable, reviewable.

Every mandate begins with a written record of objectives, constraints and permitted instruments. That record governs subsequent decisions. Deviations are documented with a reason.

Positions are held at third-party depositary banks. The company does not hold client assets. Instructions are issued under a limited power of attorney restricted to administration.

Reporting is produced on a fixed cycle and reconciled against depositary statements. Performance is stated after costs. Methodology is disclosed with the report.

Frequently asked questions

Informational questions and answers.

The following answers describe general practice in independent wealth management and the informational nature of this website.

Does this website offer financial services?
No. This website is informational. It contains no offer, no solicitation, no price list and no purchasable item. Nothing published here constitutes investment advice or a recommendation to buy, hold or sell any instrument.
What does independent wealth management mean?
An independent wealth manager is not owned by, and does not act as a distribution channel for, a bank or product provider. Portfolio decisions are taken within a written mandate agreed with the client. Assets remain at a separate depositary bank.
What is the difference between portfolio management and advice?
Under portfolio management, decisions are taken by the manager within the limits of the mandate. Under advice, each decision is taken by the client after a recommendation. The distinction determines who bears the decision and how documentation is kept.
What does a family office do?
A family office consolidates administration for a family or foundation. Typical functions are consolidated reporting, liquidity planning, document custody, coordination of external advisers and preparation of governance meetings. Functions vary by mandate.
Where are client assets held?
Assets are held in accounts and securities accounts opened in the client's own name at a depositary bank. A wealth manager operating on this model receives an administrative power of attorney and cannot withdraw assets for its own account.
How is a mandate documented?
Standard documentation includes an investment policy statement, a risk profile, a list of permitted instruments and limits, and a reporting schedule. Amendments are made in writing and dated.
Which regulatory framework applies in Germany?
Wealth management in Germany is governed principally by the German Securities Institutions Act, the German Securities Trading Act and directly applicable European Union regulation, including MiFID II implementing measures. Supervision of licensed entities lies with BaFin and the Deutsche Bundesbank.
How can this company be contacted?
Contact details are published on the contact page: Am Wissenschaftspark 6, 54296 Trier, Germany, telephone +49 651 9921860, email support@bskvv.org. Correspondence is answered on business days.
